Backup your Favorites
I have several hundred favorites many of which I would have a hard time finding again if at all. I like to keep a backup of them on a floppy just in case. It only takes a couple of minutes and a floppy, here's how.
- Open Internet Explorer.
- Select File and Import Export.
This will Start the Import/Export Wizard
- Click on Next.
- Highlight Export Favorites and click Next.
- Highlight the Favorites Folder and click Next.
- Ensure there is a tick next to Export to a File or Address.
- Insert a blank floppy.
- In the address bar type A:\favorites.htm and click Next.
- Click on Finish and you should receive the message "Successfully exported favorites".
- Open the file that was exported to the floppy, favorites.htm. It should open as a web page and have a list of all your favorites.
- To import your favorites if you ever need to, change step #4 above to Import Favorites.
