This can occur if the file urlmon.dll is not properly registered.
- Go to Start and Run.
- Type regsvr32 urlmon.dll
- Click on OK.
You should see a message DllRegisterServer in urlmon.dll succeeded.
If you are still experiencing problems register the following 4 files as you did urlmon.dll.
regsvr32 Shdocvw.dll
regsvr32 Oleaut32.dll
regsvr32 Actxprxy.dll
regsvr32 Mshtml.dll
Check the version of Oleaut32.dll.
- Go to Start and Find.
- Select Files or Folders.
- Next to Named:type oleaut32.dll
- Next to Look In:ensure C: is selected.
- Click on Find Now.
- Right click on oleaut32.dll and select Properties.
- Select the Version tab at the top.
- Make a note of the version and your version of Internet Explorer.
Click here to check you have the correct version.
- Next to Search select File Only.
- Next to File Name type oleaut32.dll
- Click on Submit.
Find your version and click on it. Ensure that it supports your Operating System and your version of Internet Explorer.
