When clicking on a hyperlink in Outlook Express you may experience that Internet Explorer is not launched. You should first check that the file type is not using the short file names.
- Right click on Start and select Explore.
- Click on View at the top and select Folder Options.
- Select the File Types tab at the top.
- Type U, this will take you to the first entry in the list of the items beginning with "U". Scroll to URL:HyperText Tranfer Protocol.
- Highlight it and select Edit.
- You will see OPEN under Actions: Highlight it and select Edit.
- Under Application used to perform this action place the following path with the quotations.
"C:\Program Files\Internet Explorer\iexplore.exe"
Note: The above is one line with a space between Internet and Explorer.
If you have more than one URL:HyperText Transfer Protocol you will need to perform the above to it.
If you still have problems go to Start and Run. Type regsrv32 urlmon.dll and click OK.
